Your Story Isn't Over
Fourteen years ago, I turned 19 (I’ll do the math for you, I’m 33 now.). Shortly after turning 19, I registered for real estate classes. I started taking the course and somewhere during that time, my life changed forever. Instead of passing a real estate exam, I passed a pregnancy test.
Just a month after turning 20, I gave birth to the one who made me a mom. He was my whole world and plans started to change. I went to college and got a degree. During that time I met my now husband, Matt. During my twenties, I gave birth to three more beautiful children that I cannot imagine life without!
Even though I did not finish real estate when I wanted to, I wouldn’t change my story for anything. But that doesn’t mean that never finishing something--especially something that I truly wanted--hasn’t bothered me. It’s always been in the back of my mind. And now, in my thirties, real estate has popped its head back up. My husband left his successful but demanding job in management and decided to work for himself… in real estate! I have now finished the courses and passed the state exam. All I can say is, “Thank you, God.” He has been so good to me. He has taken me on such a journey.
Church, be encouraged that your story is not finished. Let’s not be tempted to regret but rather let’s trust Him.
